Guys,

I have a 97 SC300 that had been de-emblemed. I bought a used "LEXUS" emblem that goes on the drivers side of trunk. The holes in the trunk for it did not match with the emblem I bought. So, I bought another "LEXUS" supposedly from a 99 - it also doesn't fit. The holes in my trunk for the LEXUS are more spaced out and in turn makes it longer than the 2 emblems I've bought. I checked online and it seems the "LEXUS" emblem is the same for all years

What am I missing here?? This is getting frustating

Whats the length of your emblem? Ill measure the one on my SC for comparison.

That's really weird. It looks just like the one from my 93.

Just measured my emblem a 7-5/8", and its the original factory from my 92.

Weird... this one is 6 13/16. So I am guessing my trunk is not an original 97 trunk

Or they are giving the wrong details on the emblem..? I dont recall if the emblem size changed between the years.

On trademotion it looks to be the same between all years. That's what's weird about it... I'm getting sick of buying emblems over here!

I would hit up fleabay. Just found 3 new emblems the right size for less than $15. Just email the sellers and have them confirm the length.

IF you bought off Ebay, I would suggest that the emblems are NOT OEM fit. I had that issue, once.
After that, I headed off to Lexus for the right emblem. If it doesn't fit from Lexus, you CAN bring them back.

i think you have a "LS" emblem. LS and SC is not interchangable.

i know the Lexus LS emblem has 7 pins and SC 5.

Thanks guys. I ended up just ordering one that had the correct measurements from ebay for $14 shipped. Now I have all kinds of used emblems. I should open an emblem store

Exactly; it's from another car, and whoever sold them, prolly thinks they're all the same, and therefore labeled it as an "SC" badge.

I just changed Jays out on his SC300, and the pins are confirmed to have 5 on the back not 7. You prolly already knew this anyway.

These are both 5 pins and I was told both came from a 99 SC300. So maybe I just have an earlier trunk lid? Thanks guys,
