FIXED! CHECK ENG AND TRAC OFF Question? Please and thanx
Hey guys i am new here and this is my 1st post. I tried to search on the threads and on google and have come to no answer. So i am turning to you guys to see if you can hopefully help. My car is a 92 Lexus SC400. Runs fine and great until about 5 min of driving. After about 5 minutes my check engine light comes on followed by my traction control turning itself off. The check engine light is never on until the the Trac goes off. And the crazy thing is that the trac control will not always turn off, and when it is on it works great. If anyone has some info it would be greatly appreciated thanks!
PS: Sprayed my lights what do you think?
UPDATE: FIXED! Ok so thankfully my Dad is a mechanic for a living and he was able to figure out why this was happening. I am not sure the exact reasoning behind it, but it was the 2nd O2 sensor. Once we replaced that, reset the computer it has not thrown a code or kicked off my TRAC control. If anyone else is having this issue send me a PM and i can contact my dad for more info if need be!

It's a common issue with these cars. My traction control light turns on & off when it wants especially when I'm getting low on gas lol. Weird I know but that's how it is. Something I you can check yourself is if the car is or has been lowered before, look underneath the driver side fender well above the tire and see if the tire has been rubbing against the wire harness. Good luck man & welcome

Ok man i will do that for sure thanks. Yea i have been trying to figure out if there was something triggering it such as speed, traction, or that and nothing. Thought maybe that if i tried to break em loose that it would turn off but of course it did not

Yeh Idk why it does that...doesn't affect driveability though. My boy actually took the bulb out of his cluster for the TRAC control. These are old cars & they tend to do funny things every now & then.
