Default Getting an sc300

Hey guys, I'm thinking about purchasing an sc300 and have one in particular in mind. I really want black interior but this cars interior is tan, how often do people swap/dye their interior on here? I am not new to lexus's at all, I had an is300 about a year ago but got totaled by some idiot and now I am basically looking for a new car finally. I did not know my financial situation exactly until now and I need to purchase a new car no matter what it is in the next week and a half. I have about 12-13 grand to spend, MAX. Basically long story short, I want either a 1jz or a 2jz twinned or singled no matter, but I want it boosted for sure since I was moments away from boosting my 2j in my is300.

For about 10 grand do you guys think this is a good deal? The engine has about 10k on it. Not too sure about the chassis , but all new suspension parts and breaks anyways so that is not a huge deal.

Clean title no accidents
Rims are work vxxr front are 18x8.5 rear are 18x9
Suspension is Tein coilovers super streets
Breaks are from a 95 TwinTurbo supra front and rear
Body is a full 97+ body.
Front bumper side skirts door molding and rear tail lights.
Most of the lights are LED bulbs. With H.I.D'S.
Motor is a 2jz Block with a 1jz head. The block has been re slaved and honed. With all now gaskets belts and water pump plugs. TT Supra gaskets. And ARP head bolts. With less than 10k miles.
Motor is running with a aristo 440 injectors 255 fuel pump and drift motion intercooler and intercooler piping with down pipe.
Trans is a w58 manual transmission 5 speeds.
This sc has a Full 3" Turbo back exhaust system.
It's tuned with an apexi S-AFC at Power Pros. With 400hp and 400tq to the crank.
Driver seat is out of a 93+ Supra NA.
turbonetics boost Control
Oil pressure and boost gauge

That is the car I'm looking at, is 10 grand worth that?

Also it does not come with a radio, at all. BUT i have my w7 12 and pioneer double din head unit 7 inch screen from my IS 300. I wired my is300 so that wont be hard to put in , but does anyone know if the double din dash kit from my is300 and the metra harness will fit with the sc300? If not, what parts exactly will I need for my p4200 dd head unit and sub need to start working in the sc? Is it much different from the is300?

If you're able to post pics of the SC you'd possibly get more help & opinions. From my point, that motor set up seems nice being a 1.5JZ & the Work wheels are a plus. The main thing is it's a CLEAN TITLE which a lot of us car lovers would agree on loving when it cones down to purchasing a car. Interior can always be swapped out or dyed for cheaper (I personally have done mine along with others on here). If you plan on going with more power that W58 has to go...get a R154 to save the headache in the long run. Also it's converted already to the best year body style...97+ . Post pics & get more opinions then test drive it if you feel motivated. Remember this isn't a car you'd see everyday going past you on the street like the IS.

Well guys I'm also worried, I took my sub/amp and pioneer p4200 head unit out of my IS. Now I am of course looking to put this inside of my sc, I have looked around, and people say to not get the metra kit? But how else would the new head unit/sub work with all of the stock speakers and sub of the sc? Kind of confused on that fact since with my IS it was just a metra harness and DD dash kit and it was easy and good to go for installation, I did it all myself which I plan on doing again. I love systems so this is my biggest problem/worry as of now.

1slowsc I have not taken yours out of the picture, it is actually my top 3 cars right now, it's just the AC is a big problem about yours, actually the only problem as this will be my daily : / I have pm'ed you and I do not want to make a decision before talking to you more as I will be in SF this weekend.

ALSO does anyone have any idea if the jl w7 12 will fit in our trunks? It fit fine in the is300 but not with too much space, it is the custom box from JL themselves with the cage bars. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...m/IMG_1607.jpg This is the box itself

I just measured the box, it is 16 1/2 inch tall, 20 inch wide, and 17 inch long. I see these dimensions which are supposedly for the sc300 trunk "The trunk's dimensions are 50"W x 18"H x 23"L" , Can anyone verify this to be correct or have see this box in the trunk of an sc300 before? It should technically fit if these dimensions are correct! I sure hope

Cool, now how about the process of getting my p4200 DD head unit in, and will it all be able to work with the stock speakers/sub?

I've seen this on craigslist. It seems okay but the way they listed it... doesn't seem like they put much time into it. Kind of shows how much they really spent time on the car itself to me. Here's some pictures of it guys

Clean, but for 10gz I would pass and consider something else i wouldnt pay more than 7gs for that, in my humble opinion.

Any proof it only has 10k on the engine?

Unfortunately, the plug and play harness they sell for our SC will eliminate the sub from working but the stock speakers will work fine. You will have to do a few mods in order for the sub too work with your headunit and stock speakers. Also you may also need a "Noise filter". Use the search this has been discussed many times before.

I'd sell you mine for a low price but you're far...mine is a 97 SC400. Motor is stock & needs a few interior things but its better than spending that much on that body style. That SC is clean though but its up to you. I'd be patient if I were you.
