hey guys , starting the re lipping process now, im trying to find out what is the smallest tire I can stretch onto my rears.

I was on zilvia and seen some VERY agressive stretching, just wondering if theres anyone here that can add any input on how small a tire I can actually go with, or better yet post pics of their stretch.

I think I will be going with 235/35 on my front 10.5's, and for the rear im wondering if its possible to go with a 255/35????

Reason is im trying my best to not have to cut and modify my rear quarter panels, I want a strong roll/pull and thats it so going with the smallest tire possible is important.

Will post pics soon with a little DIY on lip changing/swapping as well for anyone interested.

Thanks

heres a pic of my 10.5's which are going on the fronts now, they already have a nice lip, cant wait to get this new set up going.

yes on the zilvia forums they got guys running 215/35 and it looks good,im going with 235/35's on the front because i have two of them already.

Also just spoke to a shop that was working on my car and they told me my wheels will be closer to 12.5 and not 13, so if this is true maybe my two spare 245/35's might work??? Tough I know.

niceeeeeeeeee^^^^^^^^^

thats great news man that means I dont need to buy anymore tires, I can use my existing ones.

I got quoted over $700.00 for two 285/35 with installation and balancing from a local tire shop so this is great.

Thanks iridebmx

Why do the 285's look more stretched than the 245's on a 13" wheel?

Heres my 245/35's on a 13 inch wide rear to give you an idea. You will need Fire and lots of it to get the bead set lol

different tires. some tires stretch better than others. for instance falken ziex 512's stretched onto a 13" rim in the same sizes would look ridiculous

Because they are both 35 profile. The 245 has less of a height and shoulder so it wont look super stretched. While the 285 at 35 profile has more shoulder and will look more stretched. Make sense?

i didnt think the 245/35 on 13 would work thats crazy. I'll explain why because heres my 245/35 on 11.5 and 215/35 on 9.5
245 on 11.5

215 on 9.5

either way good luck, i'm a little scared to drive with this stretch but i def wouldnt attempt to stretch more

thanks mdsc, i was also skeptical but it seems like its possible so im going to give it a try.

after a while of researching im noticing that tire brand really plays a role in fitting , not sure why but it seems like it does.

and yea yours looks like a pretty agressive stretch already on 11.5, im wondering if all u guys used fire to get the tire on, or if u have ur own shop, because most places here wont install a wrong sized tire due to legal liabilities.

Here are my 245/35's on my 10.5's, somehow im going to have to get another 2+ inch stretch out of them its going to be quite extreme i think but hoping it works

I used Air cheetah, while the fire is cool and i've done it before cheetah is the way to go. The tire brand does make a difference but not a huge difference. Generals/continentals is what i have in the rear run large thats why i said its crazy that 245 works on 13" and looks the way it does.
