Really hoping you guys can help me. I have used the search function on this forum as well as other lexus related forums and can't seem to find a solution to this problem and it is not from the lack of trying so I could really use your help. Here's the lowdown:

I own a 93 sc300 with only 27K miles. Owned it since new with the intention of keeping it as a collectible. I've already gone through the capacitor problems on the ECU and have resolved that already. The car used to run ridiculously rich and it was solved by replacing the ECU. Now it is my Speedometer and Tachometer that have gone south. All the lights on the needles work and so do the other gauges. The tach will move a bit but reads completely wrong. At full throttle which I know is already close to max rpm, the tach will register about 2k. The speedo just sits dead at zero. I remember seeing the speedo malfuction once by jumping around but now it is just completely dead. I have done the searches but don't know if the problem lies in the cluster or in the ecu or some place else. Oh and now my airbag light is also constantly on. Banging on the dash has not done anything for me. I have just had my speedometer cable to the tranny checked but everything seems to be properly hooked up. The problems still exist. Might the airbag light also be connected with my problem Please somebody steer me to the right direction. Many Thanks in advance.

Only 27k? Dang, impressive! You should make your own thread and post some pictures of it! Lot's of people would love to see a 27k mile SC!

Yes I have and quite a few more and none are quite the same situation. Like I said previously, the needles all light up and the other gauges work but the tach will only go up to about 2k even if the actual rev is already hitting the rev limiter. The speedo is just completely dead at any speed. Thank you though. Yes, it only has 27k miles and perhaps i'll get motivated enough in the next few days to snap a few pics and share it here.
