why do you want to get the '94 tails instead of something that looks different+ better? go for some 97+ man

Because for the money I can get '94 tail lights for I don't mind taking them apart & modifying them haha. Though I'm sure down the track I'll get myself a set of the 97+ to play around with.

Today I BFI'd my Air box (I'll make a top cover during the week) need to also replace filter still.

Also picked up a set of TT Supra wheels for cheap, until I make up my mind of what ACTUAL wheels I want. These will make great spares anyway! They'll be painted Black this week.

16 x 8 225/50/16 front & 16 x 9 245/45/16 rear

Though tyres will need replacing, so maybe 235 front & 255 rear.

And lastly, found a spoiler replacement!

Old blotchy paint 'copy' spoiler

New one fitted up

There's definitely a lot of hype on the 97+!

Yeah I was stoked coming across them at the price I got them for! And it's actually the plastic seal of the spoiler falling apart, I've yet to peel it off, looks **** I know! Gotta do it tonight!

Last night I purchased some parts online needed for the Auxiliary Port Install for the factory head unit, so I can make a start on that over the weekend. Really looking forward to doing this mod!

Tomorrow I'm having the tyres fitted to the Supra TT's, unfortunately I couldn't get a hold of a pair of 245's or larger for the rear in time, being an odd size, so I had to settle with 225/50/16. I'm not one to stretch tyres, though having been down this track before I know this fit is nothing too ridiculous, for the time being.

I also made a start on pulling the headlights apart tonight readying the housings for some paint, if the chrome wasn't in such bad condition I would have just polished the entire housing & left it. As per usual the amber dome from the indicator housing was disposed of, followed by polishing that corner section (not painting), I'll be grabbing some paint tomorrow & making a start ASAP.

And finally, I converted the lower bar indicators (which didn't work anyway) into fog lights, if you want to call them that. I'll upgrade the globes eventually so they are actually making a noticeable lighting improvement.

More pics to follow!

Went out today after work & picked up some oil & filter, god knows the last time it was changed since I bought the car, the old oil was putrid. And while I was at it a can of red tint Night Shades for the series 1 tail lights until I upgrade. I've got some Green globes coming in the mail as well to try & get some form of amber light & keep legal.

Along the way I also collected the JZA80 wheels after having the tyres fitted. Before I fitted them part of my new car tradition is to clean up the calipers & hubs & give them some new coats of pain, hard to see in the photo.

And finished painting one headlight housing, came out good & a lot nicer than flaking chrome.

I also sourced a factory front lip today too with all mounting brackets etc. in good condition! So I spent a good while paint stripping it & sanding it down, ready for paint & fitment tomorrow.

Very happy as they are seemingly getting harder & harder to find in decent shape.

Tinted the tail lights red tonight & fitted some green globes to retain the amber flash, pleased with the results until I upgrade. I used VHT Night Shades, in person the the red is almost identical to the lower half with 3 or so coats.

I like what you did with the tail lights. Your car reminds me exactly like mine. I just have polished TT Wheels.
