Default DIY on 97+ front bumper center removal?

I'm about to add a lip on my bumper, but want to delete the center part of the 97+front bumper also while on working on it.

Is there a DIY thread on how to delete the center part of a 97+Front Bumper? Its the piece that is in between the fogs, and would cover an inter-cooler if you have one.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Use a dremel and sand the edges afterwards. Obviously be careful, you know what they say, "you can always cut more off"

A butter knife.... not sure if you're being serious there. Maybe just have a shop do it if you were serious.

Lol no not serious. My question was how to cut out the center part of the bumper & the 1st response was to just cut it out.

Yes u have to cut it out with a dremel tool. But to make it look normal tiu have take it to a body shop and have it finisbed and painted. You can cut it out and leave it as is, but it will look rough

LOL...you asked how to remove it. I said cut it out.You could use a butter knife if you heat it up, but that might take a while. Take it to a shop or tape off the area and use a dremel and go slow. Let the bit do the work!
