I really wonder why they decided to not include air suspension as an option for US spec sc4's? The LS4 UL's got it.

I'm glad they didn't put air suspension on it. All of those systems are needlessly complex and cost second hand owners a fortune to fix. Plus I've read road tests on 90's LS400s with the normal coil springs and air springs, both rode/handled about the same.

I've driven a 95 LS with coil springs for several hundred miles on a trip, must say it was one of the best riding cars I've ever been in. Handling, while not sporty, was secure without a ton of body roll like you get on a Cadillac or Lincoln. Steering was a lot tighter than those cars as well.

Very interested article. Thanks for sharing. Its about time they put these two cars head to head and compared them somewhat.

Wait, we have 4-Wheel Steering available to us, like Nissan's HICAS? (What does Lexus call it?)
Um, since when, and where can I get that?

japanese market only, the top model soarers also got hydraulic suspension that is supposed to be amazing. i doubt you'll be able to install the rear steering without an entire donor car. either way the parts will be just about impossible to source.

I love that roof spoiler on that Supra. It's the first time I've seen a Supra with one.

This quote at the end must have SC owners proud and Supra owners flaming haha
Spiffy as the super Soarer's gee-whiz technology is, the 'regular' V8 is the pick of the pair. The Supra in box-stock form was quick, but the sporty car isn't such a balanced package as the Soarer, which is the wise pick as a car to live with.
