Default Is this a good deal?

Im about to purchase a 99 sc300 auto, black exterior and black interior. The interior is perfect shape, the exterior is good but not perfect. the back bumper is a little faded, most likely from sitting outside the sun from what it looks like. This is my friends car, he daily drives it for the past 5 years and has maintained it by doing the timing belt, water pump, replaced all the bushings, shocks, springs, new tires etc. the car doesnt leak any oil and seems to run great with ice cold A/C. everything works as it should.

The only bad thing is that it has 270k miles. he is asking 4300 for it.
Black with black interior is what really attracted me to it and the fact that is a 99 and he has kept up with the maintenance. It is completely stock.

I plan on doing a 2jzgte auto swap down the road anyways so im guessing the motor wouldnt matter. Im just worried of the car itself with that many miles. Is the price fair?

Thanks.

270K is not a bad thing, it's a guarantee that the car aint' a lemon. Sounds like it's not to bad....for a 1999.

Miles really shows age and use to cars, but that doesn't necessarily mean the car is in bad shape. So I would look mostly into how well it runs and check all the typical maintenance.

Open the oil cap and check for sludge. Make sure the a/c and heater work properly. Take it for a good drive on a hwy and different terrain to make sure there's no problems with the suspension and steering.

I agree with sexc. Try the car out and really get the feel for it. I personally wouldn't pay over 3200 for it. 1 being its an auto and 2 being it has 200,000 plus miles on it. But cmon it's an sc? There a one of a kind soooo go for it

suspension bushings must be shot if they haven't been replaced. I would drive it on the highway and see how it handles first, unless you plan on upgrading/replacing all that stuff.

Buy it for that price as you could part it out for that plus mileage is not a big deal if you know how to turn a wrench as it's just nuts and bolts.
