My thoughts exactly! 11k? What kind of rip off is that? Oem cats are around 1800 per. Over 7k in labor ? She should have got another quote somewhere. Got an estimate to replace both mine for 1000. (After market cats)

lady brought it to my shop. said it had no power. we just took of the front 2 o2 sensors and runs like a champ. so she needed to buy the cats and o2 sensor. shop qouted her 11grand to fix it. so she was like im gonna junk it. i was hold on i will pay u 300 dollars for it. im not new to the sc"s at all. i have a parts grave yard in my basement. so i have everything to fix it already. so this will be my second sc. i have a 95 teal mist sc300 5 speed already. title is clean and car only has 130000 miles on. as for the interior it has the minor ripped seats and rear seats as well. nakamichi sound system. all works. motor has new timing belt and water pump. plugs and wires. pretty much im set .
Congrats on owning/purchasing your second Sc.

Yes they did. Oem cats. 1900 each. But thing is they mark up the price. For having to find the parts and stuff. I think that is stupid but I can't do anything about that. They have a mark up of like a 150% I think. When I saw that, I was like holy cow.

Wait...so your shop quoted 11k, then you offered $300 for the car? Instead of telling her that the price is way marked up. Dude thats bad karma to the core bro. You better get that car blessed or something, or call her sell her her car back and tell her you can use your extra parts and charge her to do it on the side! Thats mad effed up if i understand this correctly!

I explain to her she the option of getting parts herself and well just charge labor. Which would have been a lot cheaper for her. But she still didnt have the money. And plus she was moving. So she couldn't take the car with her.
She was a sweet lady. She saw I had my other one there and was like since you have the knowledge and I can see u really like this car. I will sell it to.
