Default SC400 Battery 800+CCA??

Looking for a battery with more than 800cca. So far all I have found are the optima redtop and diehard platinum. but neither of them have the appropriate type for the SC400 since the SC has reverse pole terminals. what is everyone using up in the colder states?

you need a 34r series battery

optima red top is a decent high cca battery. i have 2 in my blue car, but i have had to replace them twice (warrantied) because they die easily. they can only take a few major discharges. after going below 9v a few times, they arent the same and dont last long.
odyssey also makes a 34r (they manufacture the platinum series for die hard). i just picked one up for my daily sc, its 880cca.

Here is what powers my sc400 however I am not in a cold climate but the 24f series that was in there would start the car when I visited Illinois last winter in sub zero temps no problem.

np. yes but its slightly cheaper here at $278 with free shipping. it is expensive for a battery, but i have seen nothing but great reviews about them & they have a 4yr warranty.

you will also need the spacer/tray. i think the battery should come with this for free (like optima), but oh well.

800 CCA is definitely sufficient. I recommend Interstate batteries. Buy the best one.

duralast golds are pretty good and have a great warranty. 3 year free replacement. i just tested it out 2 days ago, in fact. had the battery for only a year, it was installed in a car that i never drove (so no battery recharge) and the security system completely killed the battery. took it in to autozone, gave em my info and they gave me a brand new battery.
