Default Antenna Mods

Let's see your aftermarket antenna's

I'll start with mine...
Btw, the reception sucks, once Im on the highway heading to Jersey (from Philly).
Is there a way to boost it? (Yes, I searched, but people are saying their "Antenna Boosters" don't work very well. So whats the alternative? Im thinking of unscrewing this, and using an S2000 one).

I gotta say that looks WAY better than the stocker! Did you shave the OEM one off? Still hidden would be the ultimate.

I wanna do something like this hidden antenna and shave the old one off: http://www.tunetrapper.com/Hidden_Car_Antennas.html made in the USA by the way, before I do paint. A ways off for me though.

Does anyone have any good experiences with the hidden (inside) antennas? I enjoy listening to the radio and can't live with poor reception.

I did the tune trapper. I have no complaints at all. I'm using it with my Pioneer Avic Z1 head unit converted to Z3. I mounted it high under the dash. I killed my antenna with a tree branch....

Nice! Did you do the install yourself? That would be a great opportunity for a DIY thread! Dang OEM antennas are an eye sore on the SC.

Haven't shave off the stocker (yet), but I will. For now it's disconnected, so it remains in the down position.

I did it before I was a member of CL. If my memory serves me correctly, its one or two wires...really simple. Literally tuck it into the dash horizontally, and fish the wires to the headunit...Maybe I'll do one when I work on my interior..

Did you fish it thru where the radio and climate are when it was out to connect? I got mine out now and I finally figured out how to upload pics, so I might have to step up and do this! Did I say that I REALLY HATE the OEM antenna?

I'm going to be working on my audio tomorrow. I'm installing a 10 marine JL sub in the rear deck with a custom mount and 5 channel amp. I will have the radio out and take some pictures for you.

Nice! Thank you!
Do you remember what one you got? They have 2 different ones. Was it the C2. Looks like they recommend that one for under dash. Thanks again.

Amplified AM/FM/SAT/HD Radio antenna from a late model GM vehicle. Pulls in stations from 3 states!

Murco - Now "that's" what I need!!!
Which GM vehicle? (Does it come amplified or did you mod it?)
Also, that square in your rear window, was that a diff. antenna, like mine?

Im wondering 'cus I didn't install mine, and Im wondering if they actually put a hole in my windshield or not.
If I can remove it, and have one like yours, that'd be WAY better.
