Cool

Sorry you're not the first and neither am I. There's one 300 here in Dallas that's been dipped but I don't know if he was first. I did mine a few months ago.

WTF! My car looks likes like yours!
The only difference is; plastidipped the high beams (since I retrofitted with bixenon), 97 wing and different wheels.

What fogs are you using?

It took me about ten cans, but I'm about to peel mine off, I do like the matte appearance, but I sucked at doing it, so my car looks terrible. It's good from afar, but far from good lol

Wow, I don't know you got them so clear. I had the intrepid fogs but got tired of how they didn't fit well

Nice! I will eventually dip mine as well, maybe not until next year though. Would love to see pictures of white or red dipped SC's.

Thanks,
Rick

It's very much (as with most things) a "to each their own" paint job. I personally like it, especially with how slab sided our cars are. It is unlikely that I'll do it to my car though.

However your body needs to be perfect, as flat paint will bring out every dent you have.

In other news: What wheels and size are those?

Looks good, planning on doing mine but in white. But since I plan on putting some CF parts on the car it will stand out more.

I like the plastidip thing but I like matte bright colors reds/blues/oranges.

I only dipped my car because parts of my clear coat were beginning to flake off and my 97+ parts were in different colors. One day I'll peel it off and have my paint fixed and new body pieces painted to match.

This is what I was wondering about. What did you do about the flaking clear? Did you get most of it off and then dip it or just go at it?

I just washed my car, dried it, masked the glass, removed head/tail lights, and finally sprayed. Never peeled any of the flaking clear coat.

The pictures look nice, but I also like the shiny a little better. No offense, but jmo. The stance and the wheel combo sets the dip off!
