Ten years ago today
I walked into my buddies dealership and he had a black SC400 on the lot he got from the auction. I had just bought a huge black 4wd Yukon with a big brush guard and push bar that looked mean only one month before, but man I really liked that SC! After a quick test drive it was going home with me and that was that.
He sent it to the detailers and I went over to the detailers to pick it up later that night and it was spotless.
I got in and drove it around all night, stopped for dinner with the lady, and went home. The next morning the battery was dead and it was out of power steering fluid....... guess what my first two purchases for my new SC was on day #2. I was in school finishing Electronics Engineering and designed the dash system over a few weeks during finals that month. I did some multimedia in it that month with a tv, dvd, amps, etc. I got off to a flying start with my SC after the new Alt and PS pump went in and ten years later I can't believe I still have this car, but at the same time I can't imagine being without it.
It was near October 2002 when I first found Club Lexus, but I couldn't register. The old system was HIDEOUS back in those days for message boards and every time you tried to register if you chose a name that was already in use it reset the ENTIRE form, which took 5 minutes to fill out because EVERY field was required. UHG. I got pissed and quit and didn't try again for 4 or 5 months LOL!
I've touched every nut and bolt on this car many times over the years and I can tell you as they age they become harder to keep up, but they are great and if you've had one for a few years you already know how hard it is to get away from them. Many people sell them, but they always seem to come back around sooner or later and show back up with another one.
I've really loved this car, and the entire Club Lexus experience for the last decade and I'm still as interested in these cars now as I was a decade ago. Here's to ten more!

Many thanks all.
It's funny that I have tinted every car I've ever owned, but just never was a fan of it on the SC.
The front bumper, rear bumper, skirts, fogs, grill are converted from 92 to 2000. Tails are 95-96, and wing from 92. This was my perfect combo the way I wanted it.
Yes that goes along with my registration story. I tried 5 more times the day I finally registered and on the last one I just typed that in and it takes it or I quit. LOL.
