Default Dlsoul87's: 1992 SC300 2jz-gte vvti - original w58 5-speed

So here's my build of my 1992 SC300 w58 original 5speed.

I bought it about a year ago, been on the forums, but not to active in posting much but in the for sale sections buying things up

I haven't taken many pictures, but I will be from here on. This forum is great for information along with SF. Just about anything you need, or any problem can be solved with a search, if not, then I ask...but I really haven't had to ask...that's the reason for my low post count so far.

This was my car when I first bought it. The SC was not running and swapped out beat up suspension for Megan EZ's coilovers. Been on them for a year and no complaints.

The SC sat until the Swap of the 2jz-gte vvti, act clutch and pressure plate. 3 inch mid-pipe and down-pipe, (now has new Mishimoto Rad - not pictured):

Added my old wheels from my last build of my G35 project. I parted it out after wanting to do something new:

Sold the shell. BYE BYE G35

Trailered the shell to a buyer in New Orleans.

How my SC sits now with my 19 inch Sparco Racing D2's, 19 x 9 w/ 22 offset for the front and 19 x 10 rears with 22 offset. Tires: f: 235/35/19 & R: 245/40/19

I had all kinds of problems with the motor. It felt underpowered and didn't idle well. After driving for months, I discovered many oil leaks, bad #2 turbo, ac leaking, bad vvti cam gear, just a mess of *****...here she is at the doctor:

Then I had some vibrations in the front that I suspected bent wheels. I went and had them checked at SUPAMAGS in Fort Lauderdale FL (WARNING DO NOT GO TO THEM!). The story is they took off and check my two front wheels for bends. one had bends in it. They told me to come back another day for the repairs. No problem. I leave and drive about 5 miles down back to my house and...Fu*king wheel flys off! They will not accept any liability, hang up on me, have sent them letters through an attorney with estimates and nothing...so for now, I've done a few repairs to be able to still be driven...

To be continued...

Sucks that the wheels flew off. The car is progressing nicely, otherwise. Props

I wish now I would have documented more...I will for sure now. Thanks! I'm trying to get most of the mechanical/performance stuff done before paint and interior change. I'm primarily working on the suspension now.

I got lucky that it didn't happen on the main road. Wheel flew of and went towards a parking lot. I got lucky there was a barrier there otherwise my wheel would have hit cars...

Much appreciated. Thought I should tell the story of their neglect and poor service for all the CL south Floridians to steer clear of them.

Problem was on the legal side, for the money spent to go after them, even in small claims, there was no guarantee that I would see anything. They had no assets documented, so I could win the case, but see no $$$. I wasn't worth spending more to go after them...I have a lawyer in the family. Tried to convince them to settle out of court, but they just didn't care. I'm thinking this isn't the first time they did someone wrong.
