I must say that I have never seen this DIY before on here. It was a great idea and I might be doing this mod in the future.. Looks great!

Mine is a 1998 and my dome light doesn't turn on for me with my factory remote. Mine may have been programmed by the dealer differently. According to my owners' manual, it is supposed to turn on for 15 seconds if the dome switch is set to "door".
