Default my window is screaming at me

when i try to roll down my passenger side window, it goes down really slow, and when i put it back up, it is even slower and it makes a terribly loud screaming noise. its not like the glass scraping i think. is it the motor or the regulator? or both? its a '93 sc400 and thats the only thing wrong electronically lol. thanks!

heres a video:

Sounds to me like the regulator. The motor might be seizing.

mine does the same ha ha ha, i put wd40 on the rails and I have to cut the rubber that on the side, mines was getting stuck and not allowing the window down, now is better but occasionally the sounds come back, best way to check is take the door panel and check the mechanism.

Hey bro, I would pm Aliga or RGW LLC and post up in the WTB SC 3/4 classifieds. I'm sure you can find a cheap replacement. GL

Buy some silicone spray. Spray it on the rails and wipe it against all the window trim. Anywhere that the glass touches while having movement. I did this last week, it made a HUGE difference. It was getting stuck on the trim. Now it slides down like butter. Could possibly solve your issue. Good luck

The wd-40 will eventually just wear back down. Use silicone spray, it'll last 100x longer

my 92 sc300 did this before it stopped going down so I pulled the door apart and found out that there is little screws in the trim outside the window and if your like me and like bass you'll rattle em lose so I took the trim out and it stoped not saying you would have to take em out just try to see if they are lose but being I did that I took apart the window regulator and cleaned it it worked! but come to find out theres a short for the window to go down don't not buy a window actuator just clean it its well worth it there's 2 screws holding on the motor and two brushes you have to be careful around
