I think everyone has done that already since the cars aren't worth that much. Maintenance and upgrades are very expensive compared to market value

for me its been tough convincing myself to spend more than half of what it will be worth if i sell it after i fix it, esp just to make the car run stock again. and the fact i am in Europe and the cars in the US. I am obsessed with my mediocre SC, and now that i can save like crazy all that saving will go to the car that i wont see for probably another year.

I probably would on my current SC, but there really isn't anything to fix on it at the moment. It just needs a new timing belt and stuff, but that's it.

I already have. I couldn't get another car this good for twice the money.

If it was any of a dozen other cars I'd be fine at $2k in but for some reason SC's go for dirt cheap even if they were gold plated!

I am currently starting to do JUST THAT! I will never get out of my car what I am putting into it, however I do not care. This one is my keeper and like what others say "Never add up receipts on a build!" lol

My kid has a dd and a 95 build going on dd is paid for.He told me he wanted to build a car.3 years ago buys a
92 300 paid cash 1100.
I told him act like it is your car payment and buy your parts . So he buys parts and 95.So then i told him to
keep all his stock parts.Starting to put the 95 together .You cant put a price on what we are doing.

It's funny, I'm doing same thing, using excel to all my sc expenses. I will never sell my car, I put too much time, sweat, blood, money, etc,,, into this car. Currently I'm not driving it, it's just sitting on my driveway with covered up. My wife and I are sharing her car to work. It's one of the best car I ever had. Before this car I had Acura Legend 5sp, it's was amazing car, close to sc.

I feel that it wouldn't matter which SC I get, I'm gonna spend a lot of money into it either way.

^^^This. You always gotta consider the age of these cars no matter how the previous owner took care of it.

@sc300Super-I daily drive my SC. I drive it to bring my daughter to school, bring my wife to work, pick them both up when they're done, I drive it to my customers when I have customers, I use it for grocery, visiting in-laws 2hour drive away, etc... I have put around 15,000miles on it since I got it March last year. It's a very dependable car, and always tell family and friends, if this thing gives me at least 300,000 miles, it's money well spent for me... So far, I've already spent 4 times the price I bought my SC.
