Default Some pics of my 1997 jade green SC400

Here are some pics of my 97 Sc400 w/177k miles I've purchased 2 weeks ago from Maine. I wanted to get it cleaned up before I posted some pics. The car has some dings on pass door and needs some paint on the front passenger bumper and drivers side rear bumper but body work and paint is gonna have to wait until next year(if the car lasts that long). I was in the process of de-badging but had to get back to work. I put in a new double Din clarion HU, cleaned the lights and installed a shorter antenna. Megan coils are on back order, 92 rear tails on order, pre-cut tint on order and rims will come after the coils-overs. I'm thinking about removing the rear wing also and go with a roof spoiler.

Very nice pick up man. Do you prefer the 92 tails over the 97+? I think the 97+ look more modern and better in general....just my opinion. Enjoy her and post some pics when you're all done !

Thanks. got it for $2k. I saw a thread where someone "red out" their 92s and I like that look. i think that looks more clean having just one solid color minus the small reverse lights.

boostinsc- if I can get the badges off in one piece , you can have them, but it doesn't look good. I had a hard time with the front "L".

Thanks, i will try not to mess around with it but who am i kidding. I got the bug. every time I look out the window I'm thinking about what else I can do to the car. Thanks to the forums DIY section.
right now I'm thinking about blacking out the trim with plasti-drip as another member did on their IS350 emblems.

You will really enjoy this car simply because of the price you got it for.

Don't be so quick to sell you're 97 tails tho, you're gonna get bored with the 92 diy.
what kinda look are u looking foe overall?

thanks guys. the car really found me. A friend of mine in Maine needed the money real bad So I went to pick it up.. I'm already driving a 335xi but at that price I couldn't pass it up atleast once a month and I can always use an extra car the bimmer is in the shop My son turns 16 next year so he can have it if he wants but he's already talking about taking the bimmer over.

not going for any particular look, I just want to take stuff off and put them back on.
