solution to faded pillar covers. prety happy with the turn out
So i've failed at searching through few yards trying to find in tact replacement for my pillars which have been severely bruised by the sun. I've also considered i can always paint just the pillars to hold me over until i painted the full car but figured that wasnt worth the effort or additional costs.
Shortly after checking for options i've stumbled upon this pretty awesome seller on ebay that sells pillar covers rather cheap; i was so happy with the product i advised them id do a review also.
in short ill let the pictures do the talking (dont mind my clear coat failure..thats next on the list)
before:
after:
and the between process:
application isnt rocket science for those of you who suck with kinematics, and the price was very reasonable.
thumbs up here;
links arent allowed on the forum but the sellers name was pillarcovers on ebay

Excellent! I know an SC owner in Del Mar who wrapped his whole car in 3M carbon fiber sheets. He hopes to develop a wrap business for exotics. I told him to look at AZ for sun damaged but still viable cars. Please let me know how the pillar cover holds up to AZ heat over the summer.

Just a heads up for ya'lls, i've had mine on for two years now & the sun kills them in a year.. and the clear coat or whatever on them starts to crack too. no diss to the seller but these dont last that long in the sun. but hey, ebay! lol

Arn't the replacement for these only like 20 bucks a piece at carson toyota? You have to carefully pull out the old ones so you dont bend the metal and just pop the new ones in. Their held in with 3 clips. Im gettin some new ones when i get mine resprayed. Id say just order some oem replacements. no diss to the op.
