Here's my take on it. Keep the car and slowly work on it . Get a DD beater to take care of you meanwhile.

That's what i ended up doing. Now my car runs fine, but i'm driving gutted because i'd rather have no interior than that ripped up and nasty one i had. lol

I'm. Not. Selling.

Now that that is out of the way.

Mechanically the car is sound. Runs great, drives great. Its amenities, creature comforts, etc. that need repaired/replaced.

From what I have read sounds like its mostly the interior and electrical problems you are experiencing......

Have you tried taking the car to an upholstery shop and have them re-do ur seats.

Cluster buy a used working one and send it off to lextech (i think is the name of the company who redoes the lights in our clusters) but thats optional and I think they can redo the AC screen also....

I cant remember the other things cuz every body was writing a book and I got tried of ready HAHA

Good luck with your build man

I'll continue driving it, as mechanically it is sound, and just fix it as I go.

That a good idea, I'll have to check and see what that would cost me.

Does lextech sell whole clusters, or only redo them?

Thanks for the advice!

Alright, here is a future mod list/plans.

Gut interior and reinstall. Not sure if I want to stay stock tan or try and go black.

Panasonic double din GPS radio.

Lextech lighting on gauge cluster and AC controls, just stock colors.

JIC Magic body kit

Enkei EKM3 rims 18x8 rims

BCRacing Coilovers and camber kit, 1" drop

97+ Fog lights, yellow tint

HIDs up front

97+ tail lights

Strip "L" badges, replace with red griffin

After that, I'll move onto motor modifications. I would like to eventually boost it, and get into the 300-400 rwhp range.

Do the LCA and steering bushings first.

Because the ride on the stock bushings are not that great IMHO and that is one of the best upgrades for the SC/GS suspension to do. Especially with the daizen bushings.

You do not need the whole cluster redone. Save yourself some $$$$$$$$$$ and just buy the #24 and #74 bulbs you need to redo your background lighting. I did mine for under $50. You will pay 2x-3x for it if you ship off the entire cluster. Besides, I have a set of Lextech needles in a cluster I purchased from a Forum member and the speedo is already going out. Plus, if you say, "boo" to the guy you get emails like this:

Lextech Lighting Systems <bcrowder19@comcast.net> "So we like crying like a baby to people, eh? Two can play games if you want to be a pissy little girl that cries to people when things don't go their way. That don't fly in big boy world."

Nice customer service, right?

Lextech has no obligation to anyone who bought their product second-hand. It's that way for any company. Something tells me the beginning of that exchange would shed more light on their statement.

feel your pain man. I've owned my car for two years and the CEL light loves to come on and off every few months. It's just enough to make you think twice. But, I love this car and will probably own it until it's a complete rust bucket.
