Blinker pain

Blinker pain
Hey gang, first post so go easy on me. Fixing a friends sc400 and his blinkers weren’t working, previous owner cut up the center console wiring harness so I replaced it with an oem harness (out of a 95), blinkers still weren’t working so replaced the blinker relay. The current status is this; the blinker lights on the dash turn on when the stalk is flipped from side to side, they do not blink and the hazard lights don’t work. On the left side the exterior lights turn on but don’t blink and the right side doesn’t turn on at all. Has anyone else dealt with this? It’s kind of a huge pain in the butt. I’m going to swap the old radio harness back in tomorrow to see if it makes a difference, but any insight is appreciated.
The car is also running rich which I assume Is unrelated but maybe there’s like a section of harness that has the o2 sensors and the blinkers in it

Hello,
Do you hear the Relay Click when the Turn Signal is On?
Do the Lights on the Combination Meter flash Normally of Faster than usual?
Which Lights specifically come On and stay On when you flip the Switch? A picture would be helpful.
From the Wiring Diagram it seems that the Combination Meter Lights are wired directly from the same source as the Exterior Lights, so if those flash, all the other lights should work as well, at least for a 1993 model that I have a diagram for. It is extremely rare for all the Lights to fail, but it would still make sense to check them to be sure.
What a strange issue for a Toyota to run into, usually it's the curse for others to be suffered with..
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hey there, the hazard and blinking pattern you describe sound to me like issue with blinker relay. You wrote that you replaced relay, but maybe you meant fuse. If you did in fact replace relay then it could also be bad. Bench test it and see. Other ideas: Sometimes a burned out bulb will cause issues with other blinkers and hazards functioning. And i suppose bad grounds or harness issues could throw things off too (Shrug).

So, I replaced my radio wiring harness (I had replaced the relay earlier) and that fixed the issue for like 30 seconds, and then went back to not blinking. My fuses are all intact, my bulbs are all functioning, this is driving me crazy

Update, the blinkers work but blink slower and slower every time until they stay solid, if I leave the car for a few minutes they start working again
zero clue wtf would ever cause that
