You are lowered on something to lower the car right like coils or lowering springs? If so its plenty normal haha if you are on your stock struts it isn't normal hope that helped with your question

Yo!.. names Riff

Just crossed over from honda world last year when I got talked into being cool by my GF and bought a is250(by mistake)... i thought the 350 was the "GS"... so I got the is250 thinking that it was the is350 fundamentally. Love it still though.

I WAS going to get a s14 to make up for it....... BUT THEN... i saw the might! That is 2jz (slept on it HARD). Iv always seen Sc's rollin around on 30's and thought it was a waste of a car..... THEN I found out that they come with 2jz's in them and was like WTF!!!!!... so I looked them up and saw them ALL over CL for like 12-15... so I sold my gf's pos 3rd gen eclipse and got a sc400. ........ TO MY DISMAY!... Once again... i got the wrong model.

So now I am looking into a 2jz 5speed conversation. .. yes I know it is 3 racks to pull off... but i cant find a 300 with a clean title under 3-4 racks... so here I am... lol definitely going to need some input soon about interior and why the 92's have that big fat box by that steering wheel on the firewall.

Default new to 1uz, but know Toyota like the back of my hand

New to Lexus ownership. I am a big Toyota fan. I mainly dabble in MK3 Supra related cars : 7m, 1j/2j. This is my first time working with the 1uz.

Already replaced the ps pump, douched the alternator with 4 cans of Blue Shower. All in all was relatively ez to do. Jacking the car is pita but didn't take long to figure it out.

This car belongs to the gf now. I just get to fix it. Although it drives like a dream. 3rd owner at 108XXX. Car needed serious TLC after the last guy just daily drove it for the last 7 years from 94XXX to 108XXX when she bought it. Trans fluid was garbage, brake fluid terrible, coolant needs changed bad, rear diff fluid, ps pump, idler pulley toast, had a wp leak sometime in the past but not currently leaking. Although the smog sheet says this motor is perfect. Aside from the weird stutter at steady state driving about 40mph, broken door panels from apparent inept people attempting to put speakers in or god knows what, the trac button doesn't work or at least no light on the dash, the airbad light on....the car is awesome.

Gonna need help in the future with the s-s-s-stutter issue and trac thing but everything else I'm already on top of.

Any tips, hints, tricks, nice to know stuff anyone has, feel free to pm me !

Default New to Lexus?

Hey guys, what's up? My name is Jared.

I used to be into Hondas, but after selling my Civic, my dad's friend had a few cars he was selling, and this was one of them. Test drove it, but then had to wait a few months to get it because his friend was considering buying it before we got it. So, after I got it, I realized I don't really know anything about Toyota/Lexus. I don't really have in-depth knowledge on cars in general, so I'm pretty much trying to learn; hopefully. I decided to search a few sites and this forum turned up.

It's a 1992 SC300.
I don't know the specifics, but I believe it has Tein suspension, Tanabe exhaust, and it's sitting on Integral rims. Beyond that, I really don't know, so I'm hoping to learn about my car and pretty much this car in general and how to build it up and work on it. The paint is actually crap and I've been doing some body work, hoping to paint it withing a couple weeks.

Default 2jz!!!

Hi I'm James, this is my story: Bought a 93 sc300 yesterday morning for $1500, sold my 97 civic for $1650 to do it, got rid of a front wheel drive tin can 110hp pos, now I'm driving in style, rear wheel, 225hp and the champagne gold paint is pimping. It was a good day, looking forward to that turbo upgrade. Always open to advice and a manifold hook up :-)

Long time lurker who finally has something to contribute. I'm an OldTime Hot Rodder.I owned A 66 SS 396 Chevelle, the best Muscle ever built. I drove My 69 Mako Shark Corvette from George Washington bridge to Golden Gate bridge. Now have owned a 92 SC400 for a long time. The SC might be the best built production car ever! I've got a quarter of a mill miles on it its been a daily driver and it runs like a Rolex. All I've done is timing belts, never a squeak or rattle or drop of any fluid underneath everything works except my gauges. I do have K+N filter & FlowMaster exhaust I get compliments, offers & lots of looks all the timeSC300/SC400 New Member Thread! Introduce yourself here!-pict0659-2-.jpg

Hello, I'm Fran96, and I just joined 5-9-14. I'm recently traded for a 1993 Lexus SC400. I'm on SSI,
but still do an occasional investigation.....P.I. most of my life. Saddled with some health issues, I've decided to get my "Last Ride", which I luckily found someone who was looking for a Honda Prelude, so I borrowed some money, and got more than I wanted, as the SC400 get's about 12 MPG...would have preferred the SC300, but the 400 was the only deal I found. I found a body shop which had a SC totaled, but a great interior. I made a deal for the green interior, and need information about the " R & R ".....or perhaps a member who would make me a deal to install, as I have severe Carpel Tunnel. Anyway, I'm not sure of my introduction, so I hope I haven't stepped on any toe's, or fractured any rules.

Default introductions i guess?

Hello fellow Lexus owners,

Well I am absolutely a huge fan and follower of this site. I've come to this site to find answers for simple and difficult problems and the advice given on here is great. A lot of people really seem to know what they're talking about. I own a black Lexus 1996 sc400 lowered on Tanabe springs nf210 model, with staggered black w/chrome lip 18'' rims. Since I saw the car I fell in love. It is for sure, the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning. I know it sounds weird but if you knew what my job was and what I had to do, you wouldn't want to wake up either. LOL. I'll be posting pics as soon as i get my hand on a camera that'll do this car justice. And of course a good detailing. Just wanted to peek my head in and say hello and get people used to seeing my name around. take care everyone

Yikes! Now i have to ask... What is it that you do for a living? I'm a real estate short sale negotiator. But, I'm switching away from short sales very soon...

Cheers,
