Hello to all. I'm Justin. I have owned my 97 SC400 for about six months and have been lurking on here for a little longer checking these cars out. This is my daily driver and it definitely gets driven. Almost 400 miles a week. Loving every minute of it so far. The day I bought it and how it sits now. Not completely sure how to do pictures yet...

Default 1992 sc400

Hello my name is Sam, and I own a 92 SC400. It's a little beat up, but it runs good to have 200,000 plus miles on it. Looking forward to this project.

I recently inherited a 92 SC300 that needs a new engine. My question is it worth it for me to replace the engine or should I just try to sell? Any help finding a good place to buy an engine would be a big help.

Greetings folks. I am now the proud owner of a 1992 SC400. She's a bit rough, cosmetically, but otherwise it's mechanically in pristine order. I have always wanted one of these cars. I live by the rule of "never drive your dreams" but I'm glad I did.

Hello everyone i have recently attained a 93 Sc300 manual from a good friend. 203,000 miles. I am the 3rd owner. He recieved it as a graduation present from his grandmother just a couple years back, and she had bought it brand new. Out of 20 years it has spent less than 100 nights outside in the elements. I have already installed tanabe lowering springs, (new struts at the same time), front lower control arms, megan racing adjustable toe arms. and a couple other things that i am failing to remember. It has sat for about a year after another friend destroyed the clutch in a failed race attempt (lol). Finally i got him to sell it to me because he is in need of money. The car is in pretty rough shape as of right now, not only because of the mileage but it has hit a deer in the front, gotten rear ended, and a couple other misc incidents. Recently i have done the tilt steering fix (thank's to this forum). Led license plate bulbs (a must on any car i own lol) put the oem radio back in, and ran the bad gas out of it. Anyway here's a pic of it

It shift's into all of the gears fine when off, but when it is running you cannot shift at all. You can move the car if you start it while in gear. Has anyone had this same issue? :/

Default New Wheels

Got new wheels on the way for my new to me 56,000 mile creampuff.
Got a chance to look under my blind ebay buy. It looks like new underneath.
No rust and minimal scrapes under front end. Everything intact.
The exhaust still makes those tink tink noises when I shut it off.

Hello everyone! I recently (April,'13) purchased a 1996 SC300 from a good friend of mine, Johnny, who owns TunerReady Motorsports in Temple, TX. The engine was solid, but seems to have an issue with starting sometimes. There is an issues with the automatic where it will shift into and out of O/D at highway speeds and sometimes will take off in third gear (WTF). If my car could be Bi-Polar, then it would be. I still love it, though, all 218,000 miles of it! I am hoping that the speed sensor is the only issue with it, but who knows. I will be upgrading it as I go and will upload current photos as soon as I take some. Later!

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 92 sc400 Diamond Pearl White, fully loaded, 154k on the clock. Got it from a buddy of mine and it was his mom's car since 1996. It has some usual wear and tear but is bone stock and overall in great shape. I plan on doing a nice build on this and being part of the CL community.

Unhappy 1993 Lexus SC400

Hello.
I'm new so bear with me. I have a 1993 Lexus SC400I received it as an anniversary gift 2 years ago. I love my car. The rear subframe went out on me last night. And now I'm looking to get it along with some small things replaced on it. I'm saddened cause I can't find the subframe at all... So if anyone knows where to get one or have any info I would appreciate it. I love my car and I'm missing "him" already.

Default New to the club and to Lexus

Hello from SoCal. This is my first venture into the Lexus world and am pleased with my SC400. She's a 1992 with 115000 miles and all stock. I have the typical issues that I've seen posted by other 400 owners so she's no cherry. I am going to post up some pics shortly and go from there. Thanks in advance for any help or questions you may have for me. I am sure to have many myself. Thanks, Walt

Hi everyone,
My name is Aaron Pickney, I just became an owner of a 95 Lexus SC400 and don't wear to start with mods. I would like some advice on this car. The dos and don'ts, what I need to do and what I need to watch out for. Mods now are a Cone air filter and full custom exhaust. So any advice and help will be great appreciated.

Smile Whats Going On!

I am happy to be apart of the forums, and I joined prior to actually getting the car I have now.

I gathered much info form the forums, and now I am happy to say I own a....

1992 Black Exterior / Tan Interior SC400!

I LOVE this car, and just drove 9 hours from Columbus Ohio to get it!

It is a great ride, every feature works perfectly, but the exterior had some scratches. Also, UNDER 100k MILES!.

After my dad helping me, we used our orbital buffer from Griots Garage and removed almost every one! Being a black car, I picked up some Turtle Wax Black wax and it did wonders! The scratches that didn't get removed, were now hidden because of the wax!

I am now on the hunt for some wheels, and plan to drop it a little, tint the windows, and get a new exhaust!

Just cleaned, and conditioned the leather interior as well, and it had NO rips! Just some wear, and I was extremely glad to see that. Pictures will come tomorrow afternoon!

Thanks for allowing me to be apart of CL forums, and I will be posting around!

Default Let me introduce myself.

Hy everyone.
My name is Misha Vossema and i live in the netherlands (europe)
I surve in the Dutch army and ive always been into cars.
Ive always liked the sc/soarer model and couldnt resist buying such a car.
My first sc wasnt an Sc but a 91 Soarer i imported from japan.
I did that just for the 1jz engine. I have already purchaced an R154 5 speed box.

It had so many isseus i parked it @ my dads place for the last 4 year.

I never liked the pre facelift models much zo i kept my eyes open till this came along.

So the plan is to make 1 super nice sc from the 2 cars.

The second car is an 2000 Sc400 with 154.000 miles on it.
It has been totaled by previous owner. right front damage, blown airbags, broken windshield.

I now have to choose between the 1uz vvti and the 1jz.

Here are some pictures of my cars.

The Soarer :

And the SC :

So these are my cars.

I really enjoy following the build threads on this forum. And wil make 1 soon.

regards. Misha
