Those with relocated battery to trunk: quick question!
Those of you who have relocated batteries to the trunk or installed an aftermarket amp. How did you get the cable through the firewall? I'm trying to find an access through the firewall that is big enough for a 1/0 power cable with no luck. Im trying not to drill another hole through the firewall if I don't need to.
Thanks CL!

you are better off going through the gromet that is in the fender well area which is where all other wires go through also. that hole is big enough for 4 0 gauge wires lol and theyre located on both sides

You could just go under the car. Thats what I usually do, I don't like having those thick wires under my carpet. Unless its one of those small amp wire, but 8gauge and lower I would just tie strap it under the car.

ive never done it on the sc BUT, when i relocated in my other car i had to add more ground in the motor/engine bay. i was having problems starting the car and dimming lights. just saying if u run into dumb problems like that just remember add more ground from the motor to the engine bay.
and running the wire... what they said...run it thru the gromet in the fender. i have heard of many ppl running into problems when running it under the car. especially when ur car is lowered.

Im pretty sure no one would put the wire under the frame rail, that wouldn't make any sense. You run it next to the frame rail there are a lot of ways to do it. Plus you should put a breaker next to the battery just in case something happens... Like I said, from first had experience in 4+ cars never had a problem with this, its just another option.

Otherwise, manufacturers would never put fuel lines under a car, ya know, THOSE fire hazards
