Default Tips and tricks to install shine auto kit

So ill be picking up my kit this week and will be installing it my self. I have tools and can work on my car but just wondering what is needed to be done to install it. Such as drilling holes, removing re bars or needing to shave down anything to make the kit fit. I saved my bumper bracket that bolts to there fender. Will I need to be installing that as well? Thanks guys

You may want to PM a member on here named xknowonex. He was one of the first guys to get the Shine Auto kit and he has a lot of details on how the fitment was.

Yeah, Seven Apple did the install. I saw a thread a while back that said it required a little shaving when mounting the side skirts and front bumpers for a perfect fit. I don't know too much more than that though.

I don't think it need too many modifications. I heard they've improved the fitment since the kit first came out.

It sounds like you will have a pretty nice setup once it's all done.

it all depends on how you want it to fit. If youre ok with ok fitment then it wont need alot of work if youre like me or xknowonex it will need work. If youre doing it yourself and never done it, it will take work. In my case the only thing that didnt need work was the front bumper. The sides and rear all needed shaving. The rear bumper dosent come with precut holes for plate light. Majority of the pieces dont come drilled. Make sure whomever paints the kit knows what they are doing as well. It needs to be sanded, primed, sanded then painted. My kit had small pinholes around the edges and primer didnt fill them, we used filler. My kit took a good amount of detail to look the way it does but it did not need any cutting in half and making longer/shorter like some of the other cheap kits out there. I just hope if your car is pre 97 you bought the door moldings.

You meant UAS? Are your shocks OEM? If so, how low they go with stock shocks?

it depends what you consider low, i tried stock struts and it wasnt low for my taste 19" rim was about 1-1.5" away from the fender/qtr all the way down
