95 Sc/ 92 bumper fog cornering lights..HELP
I have seen threads on converting cornering lights to fog lights, but I have a different question. I have a 95 SC400 with a 92-94 bumper, and I am wondering if HID lights will fit into the 92-94 bumper, or is there a fix for this. Also is there a way to take the whole light out to clean it and get water out?
I wrecked my car and had no choice at the time, but to get an older bumper and I am bummed about the fog lights Hoping someone has figured out a way to make it work!

Short answer is "No" Unless you plan to do some very extensive modification/fabrication in order to fit your H3 foglight bulbs into your '92-'94 cornering lights...The hassle just isn't worth it. You're better off just getting another '95-'96 front bumper...When you wrecked your front end, How did you not have a choice when it came to getting a '92-'94 front bumper?
If I can find someone to paint my '97-'00 front bumper for a really good price, I'll sell you my '95 front bumper for real cheap (as in for less than $200)...It even has a '92-'94 OEM front lip retrofitted onto it that's painted to match and oem foglights that have been modified and are HID ready.

I am all about projects so please do advise how you made them work UR2klose. Crazysc300, I just got my whole car painted for $469 bucks. Of course I did all the body work and I know the guy so it helped. If you decide to sell your bumper I would be interested. They guy I bought the car from only buys and sells these cars so he fixed my front end, and at the time he only had 94 parts around, but I wasnt complaining because $7500 worth of damage was repaired for $800. Its just irritating because my car has HID fogs, but now with this bumper wont fit At least I got my car, and it looks like new after I rear ended someone, LOL

Other folks have done this but you need to modify the lenses extensively to even get it close to working properly. Remember that the cornering lamps are designed to shine to the sides and not out front even though your 1995 wiring allows you to run 55W fog bulbs (which can possibly melt the 92-94 housings).
There is no easy or best way to do what you want with your car but it should be workable if you can do a LOT of work to customize the bulb mounting angles to aim forward. Better would be to get a 1995 bumper with the matching foglight lenses so that they won't point to the sides.
