You should get a badge and tailor a new uniform that say's SEARCH POLICE on back.
Already have one. And just for reference, I dont normally tell people to search unless it an obviously easy topic to find information on. But try using the search function, cause it has every answer to any question you can think of...except new forms of lame insults, your still on your own on that one.

How about I give you a badge that says "Helpless".
I know, I know. You don't like the answer you were given. It is much much easier to just have everything presented to you on a platter.

For the record. there is one person on here that has listed everything you would ever want to know about swapping a manual trans to a V8. Hint hint, the car is supercharged.

Even better. I just searched SC400 manual transmission and low and behold. The very first thread is the grail of manual trans swaps for the SC 400

looks interesting the ka tranny seems to be just as good as a lot of ka/sr people do put down pretty good power

I wonder what the size difference is? I'm sure you can get a ka trans a lot cheaper and easier.

I know most guys here don't remember this fella, but a member named "Blizzy" did a very nice write-up on one of the first 5speed conversions on an SC400. A few years ago, he swapped in an R154 into his SC4 and was actually the guy that inspired me to swap my SC3 with the R154. I wouldn't have done it if Blizzy didn't figure out that you can use a Marlin Crawler transmission speed sensor to fix the speed issue with doing these swaps.

Length of the KA tranny is much longer than a W58.

The people who have swapped 1UZ's into 240's have to use the nissan box. The toyota box puts the shifter in the radio in the 240 chassis

^^^Actually I have found threads where all 3 transmissions have been used. The stock KA with adapters, W58's and R154's...But the couple motor mount kits I have found ask you to specify what trans you are using, Im guessing to shift the 1uz front or back to compensate for trans length...?

If you look at the title it say's " SC400 manual , Who has one ?"

I was referring to , Who has one now 9-26-11 , Who is building one now , Who else is interested in doing the swap like i am today in present time.

I searched and i have found great information but i was simply looking for something new. I also wanted to start and create more buzz around the sc400/V8 with a manual trans.

If you look, it has worked and there are just about 2 pages in doing so.

Is this not what creates a great forum like this one?

You both act like i have asked "How to change my oil or "Can i beat a Corvette in a drag race with just an intake and exhaust...

I own a Lexus 2004 LS430 , I did own a 1995 SC300 and now i am looking into buying a SC400 / Manual swap,

I have learned priceless information on this fine web site, This forum is top notch compared to the competition that is out there.

Now if every one did not ask a question here and there and only used the search function as you have so gladly pointed out then where would this web site lay ?

Would it continue to be a success or would it shift in to neutral and simply coast to a stop ?

Think about it.

I posted a thread in the performance section about a place the sells adapters for the 1uz. I think it's called 1uzswapkit.com. You should check them out.

I think their kit may be a cheaper option.
