L1 Memory seat switch not working
Both my memory seat switches were not working since I first acquired the car 8 years ago.
This never really bothered me until I came across some of the threads tonight.... Anyway, I started to mess with the buttons today and found out that the L2 button actually worked! I made sure that the transmission was set in park and the parking brake was on. Then I pressed the set button and the L2 button before I heard the magical beep.
The problem is, the L1 button remains unresponsive no matter what. I did come across many threads on resetting the ECU, not having the switch plugged in, and tilt/telescoping steering wheel's malfunction causing memory seat switches to not work. However, I don't think these apply to my situation.
Does anyone know what else might have happened? Perhaps L1 button is simply broken since I've been banging on it for the past 8 years?
Thanks in advance.

i have the same issue where i swapped in some seats from a 97 sc300 in my 95. ever since i did that, the memory buttons dont work anymore. b4 i after i pull the front seat forward for access to the back seats and dropped it back, it would slide back in place automatically, it doesnt do that anymore. i heard 95 SCs are the weird ones, do you have a 95 and swapped out the seats by any chance?.

Good idea! I'll get to it as soon as I have time.

I have a 93' and still have the original stock seats in the car.
It's funny how easily simple stuff like this can fail... even if it's in a well designed car.
