Anyone else have a rough sc?
Wondering if im the only one with an sc 400 thats very rough and just used to beat around with? Everyone here seems to have mint sc's with thousands of dollars in mods, while I paid less than a grand for my sc . Chose a beat up 92 sc 400 rather than a honda accord for some reason, dont know why. Sc has just always appealed to me

ive got a 92 sc400....got it for $1850 with a salvaged title....looks rough now....but its my project car so ill eventually have it looking pretty good lol. I also owned a 2001 Honda Accord V6 Coupe that was my daily driver till i traded it off for a REALLY stupid reason *female involved stupid reason*

mines in rought shape but slowly (i mean i dont have a job right now slowly) but surely its becoming better. soon it will be one of the best cars in my town (and i dont mean this out of arrogance but there isnt much of a car scene here and almost everyone rocks knock offs more than original parts, there wont be a single knock off on my car.)

ChrisH, first off welcome to CL. quick tip: Use the SEARCH faithfully, there are some great DYI articles in this forumn. Valuable tools! As far as my SC, it was a little rough and still is. A few dents, here and there. It's not a problem for me, especially since I doing my body work and paint myself. I think the hardest thing for me is deciding on which "special" color I'm going with? Mine was rough but I've been working on it.
Paid $6k for the car last year
Maintenance so far is near $3k (100k service including timing belt/waterpump, replaced every gasket, new ECU, just tons of stuff)
And I need a lot more! (prob. another $2k on suspension and brakes)
Mods around $4k, and of course I need more After I replace every suspension component I still need to refurb my interior, paint, and possibly NA-T. I'm assuming I would have easily spent $15-20k when I'm all done. That's just when I'll get bored (knowing me) and buy another beat up project.
