1997 SC400 Wont Idle After Replacing Starter
i have a 1997 SC400 the starter went out so i changed it and i replaced all the gaskets but now when i go to start the car it acts like its going to run goes up to 1200rpms for a second and then nothing just kills
it has gas i checked all the connections i tried using both keys its getting gas and spark pressing the gas while starting doesnt help
any ideas?

Find what you didn't plug back up.... and plug it back up.
As a last resort, the MAF can be bad and when you disconnect the battery and clear the ECU you may figure out you have a bad MAF when the ECU tries to read base settings for the first time from the sensor instead of from the ECU cache.

ive gone over it a few times and everything is plugged in so im not sure hmm
i thought maybe the MAF might be bad but then again it was working before and i thought a car would still run without it even hooked up?
im running out of options i have a rental car right now to drive to work because i cant figure out whats wrong with it..... i might be forced to taking it to a auto shop

the car wont start to see if there is a check engine light on
a vacuum hose thats cracked or broken shouldnt keep the car from running it would just change how it runs
everything is hooked up right i even took it all apart again and put it back together with all new gaskets
ill take the idle control valve out and clean it but if that doesnt work its getting towed to a shop im over it
