Default 1jzgte hp help and thoughts

Well I am sure this has been covered but here it goes. I just bought an sc300 with a 1jzgte and r154 tranny combo in it the only thing i see done to the engine is an hks bov and a greddy boost controller. It is fast but i want it faster. So here is my plan and I would like to hear your thoughts. I am looking to get around the 550 range.
t4 turbo havent picked one out yet. Im looking for one around 800 used is fine
aem ecm or the apexi power fc
650 injectors
aeromotive 390 pump upgrading the lines Im hearing that one will work
I dont know if i need them but 264 cams if its a must
I am understanding that the tranny and rear will hold up
I am also looking for an lsd if the stock supra will work then Id get that or
and upgrading the intake manifold
I want to drive the car every day so i need it to be safe engine has around 50-60k and runs great at pushing 17 pounds

For your power goals you are better off looking for a t3 manifold and a t3 turbo even a hx35 will get you there. Cams will help but not needed, no need to upgrade the intake manifold in your power range, so all you need are some injectors and go single. So with the money you save on those things pick up a FMIC, a standalone and pay for a good tune.b

Well that all depends on where you are now parts wise and if you will be doing the work yourself. If not then you will have to take labour costs into consideration and also if the garage you will go to will be happty fitting ebay stuff to the car.

To go single you will need...

ECU & ecu harness and injector harness and mapping and any possible new map sensors to handle extra boost if you have not already got them. aka 2bar sensors etc etc.
New fuel pump
New larger injectors (650s or larger but prob no need for more than 800)
FMIC
Decat & Exhaust exhuast
New down pipe to meet the decat and from the turbo (can be turbo type spesific eg, V Band or not)
Manifold (dont skimp here, althogh some can be £1k plus, others are £150. You get what you pay for, if it is a cheaper one spend more getting it braced and then the welds checked and the inside deflashed)
Waste gate
skreema pipe or pipe work back into the down pipe.
New oil lines
(If it is a water cooled turbo then new water lines)
Turbo

And I would advise... But not essential.
Exhaust Gas Guage
AFR Guage
Engine oil cooler

And the woudl be nice but not required
LSD
Better brakes, more power means you need more to stop you.

A nice small list.

I think that is it, but I may have forgotten something, and i think the 1jz block is good for 500 something ish but not much more. so if you want 500+ wheel hp, then maybe goal set for 450-500

if you are wanting specific brands and model# of such items, you can im sure look at the ridiculous number of threads of ppl that tune their 1jz and see what you like.

IMHO - i think if you want that kind of power, go buy a new car, or a 2jz already built and drop it in.

If you do cams you will be in the 550 whp, race gas you can see 700whp, mine is 550 injectors and 20 psi I am 420whp, for dd stay below 500 whp if not gas mpg is going to be low and 93 oct is expensive.

^^^ listen to the dude.. no need for a 2jz if you are looking to be around 550 hp. If you want more torque the 2jz will give you that but not needed for your power goals.

so i sure hope your being sarcastic..
lol bone stock except cams running 700+whp? you arent going to get that king of HP from stock ceramic twins.. lol maybe with heavy mods and a run or 2 before the twins go boom and exit your downpipe out the exhaust.
You arent going to get 700+HP on a stock 1jz. no matter how hard you try.
and for the price. you may as well just fork out less for an already built 2jz - i didnt say he COULDNT i said IMO hes better off..

soarer, what he means bone stock is the internals. Even though it can be done with a twin turbo setup it's cost effective to go with a single turbo, efficient inter-cooling system, more fuel, letting it release the exhaust and a tune.

The 500-600 hp mark have been reached with stock cams. A lot of people do get some 2jz-gte USDM Cams and regrind them to fit the 1jz head and it will help it flow more but... it's not needed.

Thanks for the input I do have a pretty big fmic and I have a nice exhaust it is a 3inch strait back to a hks can. I build motorcycle for a living and just finishing up on my turbo 750 so i can handle doing the build myself so yes i will save money there. It has the soarer ecu it says A/T on it Im thinking that for an automatic trans is that a prob ? or can I build on that ecu also i just came across megasquirts any thoughts on that product company and what is a good turbo for dd

the internals will handle the power.. megasquirt is good but it's been a challenge to get it working on some jz's mostly the 2jz-ge but it's been done.

Sorry I should have said stock internals with single turbo soarer93 1l
I was talking about single turbo 1jzgte with cams.
1jz with with single will be more than enough I have been on both side of the fence....
