Just stumbled upon this site and thought some of you might want to try it out, if i didn't have my 97 tail lights I would give these a shot.

You have no idea how much work is involved to convert the 92-94 tails to red/clear in that configuration. It is simply work of art.

OP, this was originally posted on club Lexus years ago. Good find regardless. Just search 92 clear tails and be amzed at how much work is put in to that tail lights.

I think this has been posted before, i remember seeing it a few times.. non the less, crazy effort for the original DIYer taking pictures and working is very very hard.

I looked into these a year or two ago and found out how much effort was done for this mod. It is a crazy work of art and amount of time given to do this project. I chose to paint the top section black.. I am overall pleased with it. You will be amazed how much a few coats of vht paint will make and some sand paper.

^^ yeah ive been thinking about turning the amber turning signals red like one of the DIYs shows. may tint it a bit though since i have a dark car, could look good.

they look good in my opinion.

is it really all that much work, seperating them and peeling off the red?

There must be a few steps im missing in beetween lol.

Got mine from Kohinoor who got them off of Yahoo Japan. I had originally seen the thread on CL on how to make them but they are tough to duplicate.

The ones I have look completely OEM....so whoever made them in Japan has some serious skills. I think these tailights look best on a DWP SC the most.
