Default help with 1st gear on auto tranny issue

I always had an issue with my auto trans on my sc300, because it takes forever to shift from 1st to 2nd gear even, if I step on the throttle all the way. It shifts ok on all the gears but 1st gear. It feels really slugish on 1st. I actually have to put it on ¨L¨ if I want to speed up the process.

I was told it can be a sensor that is inside of the trans. It has been doing it for months..

Has anyone had any similar issues ? or have any idea what can that be ?

And dont turbo your car til you get it fixed... itll just get worse. You can find a good used one on the forums (SF or maybe here) for REAL cheap.

I actually have a r154 swap I just need to extend the shifter and buy a speed sensor. I was just trying to keep the auto untill I gather up evrything and installed. It looks like I have to do the 5 speed swap sooner that I thought.

Have you messed with the line pressure on the throttle body recently?

I'd check your fluid level as well.

I tried to tighten the linkage to see if I was to resolve the issue. I also added more oil.. but the isssue continues..

the trans shifts great but 1st gear. what I will do next is replace the filter and, see if it helps out a bit.
