On your calipers, is that a sticker that says lexus or did you get that custom painted? let me know, looks awesome

Yeah I bought those stickers off eBay. They were meant for IS300 brake calipers but fit just fine. I also was able to choose my color. Make sure you buy heat-resistant ones!

Mid-December 2012 update:

Picked up a set of Supra TT Sway Bars. My grandpa has them on his SC400 and linked me to the ad in our classifieds. This sets back my coilover savings but I read on here that they improve an estimated 30% handling. Plus, I love putting Supra parts on my car

While they were shipping here I went on a search for the rear subframe mounts that are required for the rear Supra sway bar. The OEM stock ones were 96 dollars a piece which seemed pricey, and the parts manager, Curt Aigner at Elmhurst Toyota offered the TRD mounts. They're stiffer and cheaper at 75 a piece(discounted to Supra Forum members at 56.25 a piece.) Couldn't pass this up and assumed they'll fit. Let's hope so. They arrived before the sway bars did.



I decided to experiment with Tire Stickers. I noticed not a lot of people do this, and it may be considered tacky. During the winter my car isn't really at its best state, and i'm sure many people can relate to this. So I decided even if this is a failed experiment it couldn't hurt. I went to www.tirestickers.com and ordered 8 custom JZZ31 stickers.

Here's the stickers when they arrived, and the instructions for applying them.



This video made me pull the trigger on them. I know they're green but imagine them in white Just an attempt to make my 17 inch Supra TT wheels look a bit bigger while driving I guess.


A lot of people might disagree with this, but it was an experiment. The rears stayed on through the cold, wet winter. Here in St. Louis the weather is very jumpy between 15 degrees to 70 degrees. So far the rears have not fallen off. The fronts flew off on the first day due to the smooth part of the sidewall being slightly concave(I have different tires on the fronts.)

I am providing a lot of information on this topic because there isn't much on it(even on Google.) The stickers are also 25 dollars. I used a razor blade to carefully shave off some of the branded DOT approved text(below) on one of my tires, along with some 60 grit sandpaper. The stickers will not stay very long if the surface isn't smooth. I saved my other 4 stickers for when the rears fall off, if they do. I'm still not sure if I like them. Picking an appropriate custom message was the most difficult part.





Definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I will figure out how to get the fronts to stay on by spring time and take some rolling videos/shots.


We will be installing the sway bars this month. I will take pics and update. Hope everyone has a nice holiday Stay away from salt and snow, and spray out those wheel wells!******

My girlfriend dumped me! It's VERY easy to save money up now. Tax refund came in too!





Can't wait to install! BC BR coilovers 14k/8k. Remanufactured steering rack from NAPA. The rack was $431 with shipping/freight. Core rack will be worth 139 dollars. Done spending for a while after this. Have to save for a second set of wheels(Silver Work Meister S1s are my goal by end of summer) Hope everyone else is enjoying their SC as much as me. I'm rolling 200k in a couple weeks, still going strong.
