DIY: How To Silence Open Sunroof Reminder
To begin you will need:
*10mm socket & ratchet or wrench
*Soldering iron
*Pick tool or flat head screwdriver
First you will need to remove your headliner but this DIY just covers the removal of the reminder charm.
With the headliner removed you will see a black box to the left of the overhead console. Start by removing the 10mm bolt and unplugging the connector on the left.
Next, remove the black cover by gently lifting the tabs on each side.
With the black cover off, the circuit board will slide right out.
Here is what we will be removing.
With the circuit board removed, take a soldering iron to these 2 pins while gently pulling on the beeper from the other side.
With the beeper removed you can now re-install the circuit board.

Ya, the beep is just obnoxious and pointless and since Im in the process of reupholstering my headliner with suede and have the headliner removed, I figured why not.

lol wasnt someone just complaining the other day that there car doesnt have a beeping noise therefore they leave there sunroof open??? lol maybe u can sell him the part u just removed!! lol nice DIY

Ha, okay. From what my parents tell me, if I was a girl they were gonna name me Starr so when they found out I was a boy they named me Matt and made my middle name Starr. When I became a serious musician I decided to go by Matt Starr cause it sounds better than Matt Andrew. In Feb. 2007 I started a band with my friend Scott on guitar and myself on drums. 4 1/2 years later we're still a band (called Glass Delirium) and we tour the country about 8 months out of the year.
