Are our rotors different from most cars?
I ordered some rotors and need to install them. My buddy has a 4-runner and knows a bit about cars. Not a lot though. He says he can install rotors no problem and did it on his 4-runner. The only prob is he said some cars are diff. He said some rotors have bearings in them, some are sealed,etc.... How hard is it to change the rotors on an sc400? Should I have him do it or are they harder than average to change. Thanks.

Unless you’re really uncomfortable with the job you don’t need to hire anyone. It’s a “standard” application, nothing tricky, unless you have trouble removing the rear ones. Then it’s the parking brakes holding you up. If so there is an access hole on the bottom to adjust the P-brake, just like a standard drum brake.
