Default went for drive, antenna gone?

so... my bro went for a drive in the car. upon return, the antenna is mysteriously broken? haha.

so i looked at it when he got back, i found a long internal string, and a broken antenna from the base when the car was turned off. I just pulled that out.

sooo. how should i replace this? whats the easiest DIY option? it looks like the antenna literally snapped off, because the metal part of the broken part looks like it was bent or melted off.

If you're looking for a new antenna, LoCustom sells some S2000 style antennas pretty cheaply. I recently got one and the reception is still good.

Here is a link to the antenna: http://locustom.com/home.htm

just shave it. it's really not that hard. it took me about 3 hours total, including paint and sanding.

My SC came with a phone anthena on the rear window . I though to use that instead of the huge remote control antenna.
If I had a choise... umm... I would use the BMW shark antenna.

or cheap shark antenna like this

My antenna took a crap about 3 weeks ago. I ordered an MDX antenna from Locustom, a week later they refunded my money-must be outta stock.

So Im going with one of these, you will need to get the antenna sold seprately. Thats just for the base:

Costs equals out to about the LoCustom antenna
