We are putting together a 1969 Ford Galaxie fastback. The engine we are building is a 351w with aluminum heads and a aftermarket Edlebrock injection and a bunch of other performance goodies. Should be somewhere around 350 HP. We are also converting to a 4 speed toploader transmission. Its a real sidetrack for my car but still a lot of fun to see it come together.

Oh, gotcha, I bought that same red paint from amazon, not sure how that will get rid of the "pink" unless you want toturn the tails all red. the pink hue kinda grows on me after awhile, the tails look so OEM and classy IMO.

I know what you mean. I think it's the whole inside color reflection thing going on. I just saw the newer Lexus/Toyota and their clear is literally CLEAR. It just kinda bugged me a bit is all since then.

Not too long, less than 5 minutes. Really you can just cut it deep enough to control the break.

There is a beautiful conversion to solid red on some 1997 tails in this Forum. This write up is useful for anyone trying to NOT bust their tails during disassembly.
