Default What made me get an SC...

The HORRIBLE NASTY GOD AWFUL reliability of German Cars!!!!!!!!! That was the main reason... But other factors were the looks, the quiet comfortable ride that also handles well, its basically a Supra except with all the Lexus goodies I love, and like someone else also commented; the SC's gone wild video of course!!!!

It was pretty simple for me, grew up working with Hondas...which were easy to mod, and of course easy to steal...lol. I couldn't afford the supra, so the next best thing...my SC, this is a realiable car, well built minus the few hiccups-overall great car. Plus I could age with my car...I didn't want to be the old guy driving a Honda civic at 40...unless it was a drag civic...lol. I've always like the SC!

Started out with a 91 nissan maxima, 02 camry, 01 toyota celica, and i can't afford a supra. and i got my new sc4 pretty cheap $500 for the shell. going to put in an engine and tranny in a few weeks. upgrade from the celica? i think so. although my celica is pretty nice :3

Timeless style (people still think it's a new car) the reliability of these vehicles, and the fact that I've wanted one since I saw the facelift in 1997 (at a lawyer's office) and have been chasing one ever since. It really kicked off in 2003 when I drove my first SC, it was a 400, 1992, and it had 265K on it and I had no clue until the owner told me.... I was amazed, knew I had to have one, and this year, it finally happened.

I loved my 1Gen GS300 it had 205k mile when i bought it with original Timing belt and WP .The only Downside on the GS is the shifter bezel always cracks, water under the spare tire, upper control arms, stereo amplifier, broken cup holder so on ..... but you don't have to worry about door panels haha.
2Gen GS is also nice my DD is 2002 GS sport design has 216k miles i bought it maybe 4 years ago with low miles this is a maintenance free car yesterday i put it on the lift it for a quick check out it needs about $2k worth of parts.
let me know if you need any help with the gs, most likely sounds like suspension work if so i just did a bunch on mine and also on my buddys gs.
oh yeah no cracked shifter bazel on our 93,or water in the spare tire, broken cupholder...check.

still miss that car if i come across one cheap that needs work, i'm getting one for sure.

I over thought my car choices and for some reason when I was 16 I felt like if I had any less than 450whp I'd have the slowest car on the streets, so I bought the cheapest 450whp reliable car I could find. Bad idea.

because the cheapest MKIV in my area was 12k. however i am happy with my purchase. ive fallen in love with my luxury coup. and it still makes me smile when people ask in me in astonishment; "what? that thing has a v-eight in it?"

Reliability and drive ability. Just an excellent all around car, my dad drove one, my sister drives one, and now I drive one. It runs through the family.
