I'm assuming you're running a standard Soarer ECU from your swap? Speed cut is at 180km/h from the factory. A device such as the HKS SLD will let you bypass it.

Let me be the first to say that you are an idiot for testing out your cars' max speed on a public highway. God help anyone who happens to be in the way of your car when you lose control, not to mention you. If you want to see how fast you can take your car, go to the track where the only person you will kill is yourself.

Stop breaking the law and speeding on public roads..if you are that willing and open to admit you willfully broke the law, your car needs to be restricted to 35mph...

I hear Kia makes a nice slow car Seriously? I guess people need to add the in Mexico disclaimer before saying they go over 30mph

^^^ agreed how about ppl answer his question instead of flaming on him like a bunch of homo's its a serious question and i promise anybody on here has ripped on there car on a public road at least once... even if it was a side road... anyway.. uhm most cars have a speed cut from the factory and its usually at about 112 MPH or 180 Kph which are about the same speed... so its prob due to that bud.. but all in all u should do this at a track.

I find it funny that people freak out at other people's top speed. I think this is because IT'S OTHER PEOPLE who don't follow the rules of the road. If you drive slowly, get in the right lane. If you are in the left, and someone pulls up to your bumper or flashes their headlights behind you, don't take it personally, just move over to the right so they can pass. If you fail to do this, YOU are the one putting other people's lives in danger. For the love of god, Europeans have been using this technique for ages and it works just fine. Though I am American, I don't think I'll ever understand the driving habits of the bulk of American drivers.
