Bought new short block with 30K miles. Bores are not out of round, piston to wall clearance is good, piston ring end gap is good, main bearing clearance is within specs, and rod bearing clearance within specs, in short it is a healthy engine. I am building it for street class time attack. I'm going to be using factory rods, Toyota factory 2JZGTE pistons, new wrist pins, Toyota oil pump, Toyota timing kit, Toyota OEM gasket set. Now when I re-assemble it im going to be using ARP rod bolts, main studs and head studs. All will be balanced together and put back together with toyota gaskets and a cometic head gasket. Am i missing anything here?

Sounds like you have a good game plan. Personally, I would change out the pistons and rods to something lighter and stronger. If you're in there and have everything torn apart, you might as well lol. Since this will be a race car going around the track vs a drag car. Getting some lighter internals will definitely help you rev faster when you exit the turns. How much power are you aiming for? If it's nothing over 600-700hp then the factory hardware is fine.
