looking for MKIII front driveshaft

my question is can you use the W58 drive shaft or does it HAVE to be a R154?
i have a stock 92 W58 driveshaft and its 2 inches short. i might just sell it. but only if i can use a MK3 W58 one on my R154 swap.
i saw a couple at my local junkyard but it seems longer. than what i need. if u can find out. i will get u one. the junkyard had 2 of those MK3 front driveshafts.
