version 2 is just as safe btw, just more convinient...so its more expensive.
Thinking about upgrading to supra tt brakes or LS400 but afraid of the dreaded dead spot in the pedal travel feel, is your pedal rock hard after the swap?

Currently brake pedal is not hard, temporary I have original brake line on. Before I orderd Stoptech ss brake line but it didn't fit so I'm returning today and they are going to send me the right one. When I want to step on brake whole car stops really well.

95-00 LS400 OEM Brake Calipers = $246

LS400 2 front drill slot brake rotors +4 pads = $125.62

2 15MM Spacer version 1. = $105

Stoptech SS brake line = $83

Total = $559.62

Big bottle of DOT3 Brake fluid

After this upgrade I went on the highway and speed up to 80mph and also went to street I know that it has many pot holes, nothing happend.

Rear calipers are floaters, just like the stock one, so no good reason to swap. If you want to ungrade the rears, then go to TT rears. Although, most of the braking is done up front!

id like to know how many people have actually done this upgrade and have a rock hard pedal at the very top. I want to do the TT upgrade but very sceptical on spending the $ and then having a spongy pedal.

I have done the LS400 brake upgrade. By far the best upgrade and bang for the buck on a SC! I used SS brake lines and I like the brake pedal feel. The car now stops almost as well as my BMW now. I have an extra set of LS400 calipers that I may want to sell. Email me if your interested: draytonwebb@yahoo.com
