Looks like these guys are selling the OBX mid-pipe separately:

Anyone have any experience with this?

Whether or not the horsepower increase is significant or not, back pressure kills the efficiency of a turbocharged engine. The honeycomb block inside a cat is almost like a fine mesh.

"Supra 1993-1998 Turbo and non-vvti 1jz Soarer"

Midpipe is the same for the SC300 and the Supra? Interesting...

well if it matches up to the 1JZ exhaust, it will match up to the stock SC exhaust.

The JZZ30/Z31 and the JZA80 are more alike than many people think

Yeah I just did some research and found that the midpipe on the Soarer, SC300, and Supra are all identical. Great news! That means I've got the downpipe, midpipe, and axle-back set.

Now if I could only find someone who made an aftermarket y-pipe... Anyone?

to split into dual exhaust? Just get an exhaust shop to do custom bent piping from the midpipe to your axle back set.

Yeah it's just a hassle to find a good quality exhaust shop, leave the car there, etc. I'd rather buy a pre-fabbed part.

Good luck with that! from what I've seen NO ONE makes a Y pipe. You could try modding a GS300 exhaust set but I'm not sure if that would be a headache or not

That setup above looks damn nice! Though I'd rather just go cat-less and keep the factory mid-pipe around for when I need to go through emissions.

Found this mid-pipe too - looks like a better deal than the driftmotion one because it's SS (I saw some of the used HKS/driftmotion ones for sale, and at a year old they already had some rust spots):

Anyone know what the bracket is for? There was a bracket connecting my mid-pipe to my tranny but IIRC the bracket was on the tranny itself and just bolted up to the most frontward flange on the mid-pipe.

I used Google to find the best pricing on that blitz mid pipe and I got a lot of the same thing except it was advertised as a downpipe.

Comparing the blitz to the hks brand above it dosent have the same slanted bend. I think that blitz one is actually a downpipe.

Thanks guys. I actually ordered a BoostLogic midpipe yesterday. Was about the same price, it's full SS like the Blitz (I think the HKS is just aluminum - I've seen used ones for sale and they all have some surface rust) and it doesn't neck down like the Blitz. I'll give some feedback once I have it installed.
