Default Is this sc400 overpriced or what????

http://bc.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-...AdIdZ185599200

His listing price says 13000$ but he also says he has a navigation system in there that he wants 2 grand for.

He says lets start the asking price at a whopping $15000.00.

now I know these cars are rare as this is the very first 99 sc400 ive ever seen for sale in canada, but i mean come on it has almost 200 000 kilometres--not very low.

I would like to hear what youy guys think of this .

personally i think hes asking wayyy too much.

thanks

agreed----this guy is way out of line.

and i am positive that this add has been on there for a very long time----like 5-6 months at the same price.

i dont see it going anywhere anytime soon

yes i got my 93 for a very good deal as well with extremely low mileage.

he thinks hes going to get the extra money becuase it is a 99 and a vvt engine.

yes they are more sought after but not to the tune of 15 000$, at least not in my opinion.

but one thing im confused about is--he says there were only 950 made of these?is that 950 sc400's made that year?cant be,,,maybe 950 white ones or?idk

i wonder because i never ever ever see any 98-00 sc400's for sale period.

anyways hes not going anywhere with this at all

I think he's pretty active on this forum, the car is in great condition, it's very rare for Canada to have 1999 as I do not believe they offer anything above 1995. He has recently been talking about replacing a ton of parts so needless to say maintenance has been done accordingly. Overall, very clean car, if you're in the market for a well maintained car, not souped up or modified, this is a good choice for you. I also dont think his target audience is in your age group either.

As for the navigation, it's a carpc, it's a bit more sophisticated and complicated than Future shop double din, my guess is this thing can go online, play dvd's, control ipods, watch videos, run itunes, and cook a steak for you while you drive. Is it a bit overpriced for 2k, maybe, but that depends on what he has in it.

Well as far as I know Canada only sell sc400's, they only sell up to 1995 and then production was terminated. I think 950 is how many sc400 were made in 1999 in US since none were made in Canada.

if this is the case than he has a real gem on his hands.

what about the 2000 models? ive never once seen one ever ---even here on the forum----im starting to wonder if they really exist.

and clear p i think your right as i almost never see a sc300 for sale here either.

i googled it and it seems as though only 631 2000 sc400's were sold in america.

this is unreal.

As far as I know they made the SC400 all the way until the 98-00 revision was introduced and then canceled it. SC300s only came in manual transmission in the 92-94 style.

1WILLY1 I think you are right. I do not think it is worth more than 10,000 dollars.
