Default Door courtesy lights and seat memory not working

My door courtesy lights have never been on since I got the car.. I looked and can't figure out a way to fix them.. Is it one of those buy a new one or nothing type of deals..
Also my seat memory doesn't work.. Has anyone fixed these problems relatively easy?

It seems that you got the plug disconnected or some wiring/contact problem. Pull out your door panel and take a look.

Do you have a bad door switch ? Do you get a dash light saying one of your doors is open all the time ?

Something else doesn't have the light turned on does it ? On the dome light assembly there are the controls for the sunroof, the two square maplight switches, and the switch for the dome light itself which is a slider that runs between maplight switches. If its all the way to the passenger side the light will be on all the time.

could be broken wires in the harness between the door and chassis.

FatBrian- yeah, I tried moving that switch to all of the options and it's a no go..

MidloSC- what do you mean by programing the seat memory? And I'll check to see if the bulbs are still good today

MrBrock- that good be it, since the guy that painted my car took off the door panels, and he might have damaged something back there

You pulled out the door panel or the light?? The plug that I´m talking about is near the seat memory buttons inside the panel.

IIRC, Turn the key to the on position without starting the car. Put the seat and mirrors where you want them, then hold the set button down while pressing the memory position. The car will beep twice letting you know it accepted the setting.

Why don´t you pull the panel apart? It´s not by taking out only the light where you must check. Don´t be lazy if you want it to work.
