hi guys, i have a 1jz in my sc300 and i'm looking for a thermostat. i know driftmotion sells them but i need it today. i will be buying from kragen/autozone so i need to know from what car and year is interchangeable with the 1jz.

i've been searching still and found that the "2jz works" with the 1jz... is it the sc300 2jz or the 2jzgte? what do people mean when they say 2jz? are they referring to twin turbo or na? i'm confused..

2JZ engines are alike in many ways. It's the GE & GTE ending to the engine codes you are questioning. GE is NA, GTE is Turbo. 2JZGE engines look much different in appearance then your 1JZGTE and a 2JZGTE. Many of the engine components and accessories are interchangeable. I'm about 90% sure any 2JZGE, 2JZGTE, and 1JZGTE thermostat are the same.
