Must act fast: someone will know y/n answer
Will the stock 18" wheels off an SC430 fit on my 1993 SC400?
Have a short window and appreciate your kind consideration!
Thanks

Thanks to all!
It was a time-sensitive question and I do appreciate the y/n answers!
These wheels (which as I now understand are not always universally considered to be the absolute best, prettiest, sexy, etc. option for SC400's) also happen to fit my SVX and were priced right and may include a set of dedicated 18" winter tires: I needed a real quick answer.
I'll try to be much more diligent in my Search function in the future... Once I can get the Board's system to do more than Welcome! me and then promptly refuse to allow me to post until I change my password for the 5th time.
What's with that, anyway?
Kakawwwwww!
p.s. Did you know the American Eagle is one of the vulture's closest relatives?

STORMINORM, if its a recurring issue (it is one I haven't heard of) then log out of CL and whack all your browser cache / cookies and try again.... likely one storing your password is corrupted.
I'd also recommend search as a 'faster' alternative to posting to ask for a 'fast' answer. You get instant answers with NO waiting.
I put 'SC430 wheels' into the keyword field, select the search title only and point at the SC400 forum. Lots of threads right there on the first page of results (these are just a few of 'em)

Thanks to all! Studless recommendation?
I will (and usually do!) use the SEARCH function in the future: I just needed a quick answer and it does look like it is going to work out.
These wheels (yes, they are the earlier disk type) look to be in great condition and do fit on both the SC400 (THANKS, AGAIN!) and my SVX. There was a previous e-bay auction for these wheels (item #2305806764528) and they didn't hit the reserve. I'm probably going to have my buddy in Tucson take a look at the wheels and pick them up from him sometime later if there are as good as they seem.
My intention was to fit studless winter tires, probably in a 225/40-18 size, (Any suggestions re: which manufacturer/model?) and eventually get rid of my 2nd set of SVX alloys that have studded snows mounted. If this prooves to be a wash financially I'll have basically killed two birds with one stone: studded snows on the SVX are pretty much overkill, at least in anything less than full-out blizzard conditions.
I've never gotten stuck in almost 20 years and 180+K of driving the SVX. Best snow/bad weather car I've ever owned. Best for a cross-country trip, but I'll bet the SC400 would give it a run for the money...
Cheers!

Check out this site re: SVX
QUOTE=Tabaka;6132172]180k on a SVX? Sounds pretty reliable. I thought about getting one many years ago but all of the reviews said to stay away.[/QUOTE]

Possibly due to the fact that there were limited years and limited models of the SVX from 1992-1997 (a couple of years of FWD cars with cloth interiors, mostly AWD but same basic powertrain) this site is very directed towards 1 car, and 1 car only! At times you see a little bit about WRX and manual tranny swapping (all NA SVX's were 4EAT automatics) but this is the definitive SVX site, IMHO.
As for 180K with the motor untouched internally and only one transmission rebuild (fortunately @ 56K under the factory warranty) I'd agree I've been lucky but good preventive maintenance can go a long, long way with a good design. My last road trip was 11K miles (PDX-DEN-DAY-Upstate NY-CIN-St. Petersburg-CIN-Upstate NY-DAY-CHI-KC, MO-DEN-PDX) and I averaged a little over 28 mpg on regular for the entire trip!
Forged crank, Nat Asp flat 6, not a terribly high state of tune (230hp) and good aero = good durability, a trait which Subaru is usually famous for...
