Default Code 27 write-up DIY diagnosis and repair SC300

Ive noticed a lot of people getting code 27 (sub oxygen sensor circuit), so here are possible problems and how to fix them. (maybe this should be made a sticky)

First we must understand the purpose and how it operates so to start off with I give you this.

Here is a larger image of the previous diagram

Now that we understand a little more about purpose and operation we can get to the good stuff. Obviously we have a code 27 and you wondering whats causing this and how do I fix this problem... the next diagram explains what may be going wrong and what could be effected by it.

Next is a test to run to see where in your driving patterns your malfunction may be occurring.

NOTE: If you have tried to reset the light by taking the EFI fuse out and the light is still on you have a hard code and can skip this step and go straight to diagnostic

After the test run is performed here are a diagnostic trouble shooting list to go thought to eliminate what isn't causing the code 27.

The next two charts are detailed explanations of diagnostics from the previous chart... they are numbered 1-4 on both charts... so match 1 to 1 ect, ect

I hope this helps out. If there is some other information on this matter I missed or you would like to know i can try to add it so just ask.
